Music Together® Mixed Age Class (0-6 yrs)

This is the essential Music Together class, one that a child can attend from birth through age six - and through all nine song collections.  This basic class follows the recommendations of child development researchers - grouping children of a variety of ages because this fosters natural, family-style learning. younger children enjoy watching and imitating older ones; older children learn by leading younger ones; and adults are happy because the children in the family can go to class together. Each child participates at his or her own level in singing, moving, chanting, listening, watching, or exploring musical instruments. Any caregivers - parents, grandparents, nanny - can bring the children. The whole family is welcome for this important family music experience.

Music Together BABIES CLASS (0-8 months)

Special one-semester introductory class for infants 0-8 months.  Every child's musical development benefits from early exposure to music and movement.  Because the early years are so important, Music Together offers three options for babies:

  • Infants may take this special Babies Class offered as a one-semester introduction to Music Together (this class may not be repeated).  The music activities and materials are specially designed for parents who want to learn as much as possible about music development in infants.  Meet other parents of newborns and learn some fascinating music activities you can recreate at home with your baby.
  • Infants eight months and younger may register for a Mixed Age class,
  • OR they may attend FREE with a registered sibling.

Music Together MASTERS CLASS (3-6 yrs)

For the experienced MT Student ages 3 to 6 years.  If your child is between 3 & 6 years old and has attended several semesters of Music Together, he or she may be ready for our Masters Class!  Register your child for the same outstanding music with some different kinds of activities:  rhythm improvisation, independent singing, dance improvisation, and dramatic play.  Teachers work with individual skill levels and interests.

Please note:  Because they are so used to keeping up with their big brothers and sisters, younger siblings are welcome to register for this class too.
